As a youngster I was already very interested in martial arts. So I started with judo, followed by Taekwondo and after that a long period Jiu-Jitsu reaching the black belt level. One day, more or less by accident, I walked into the ‘Silent Dragon’, a Krav Maga school in Delft, which name later changed in ‘Rayo sports’. In the beginning I was quite skeptical, because the philosophy of the Krav Maga system fundamentally differs from that of the traditional Asian martial arts that I had practiced until then. After a month of training I concluded that Krav Maga offered the best solution when it comes to realistic and executable self-defense. So in 2009 I started training Krav Maga seriously via IKMF. Presently I am a certified civil instructor, kids instructor, woman StayAway instructor and security instructor (different specializations within the IKMF). The passion and joy I experience with Krav Maga motivated me to start Krav Maga Den Haag and develop my FunFightFit-training for children. Besides Krav Maga I also successfully completed the Movisie- and ‘teacher self-defense’-training. And my love for teaching children motivated me to also do the psychophysical training ‘Rots and Water’ and the IKMF Krav Maga kids-instructor course. Today I enjoy giving training and lessons via Krav Maga Den Haag, in The Hague, Rijswijk en Wateringen, including special training for the elderly, security guards, teens, kids, woman, private lessons and corporate training. All this in combination with my part time teaching job at a high school.
